Federal investigators launched a special counsel probe into Kash Patel — currently serving as FBI director but at the time a private individual — that involved the collection of extensive personal data spanning over two years, including telephone records, text communications and financial documents, according to grand jury subpoenas and accompanying nondisclosure directives reviewed by Reuters.
