The moment Israeli hostages were rescued and reunited with their families
Four hostages kidnapped by Hamas from the Nova music festival during the October 7 attack have been rescued from central Gaza.
The Israel Defense Forces said Noa Argamani, 26, Almog Meir Jan, 22, Andrei Kozlov, 27, and Shlomi Ziv, 41, were freed during a “complex, high-risk mission” from two Separate building in Nuseirat area.
The IDF said the four were in good health and were transported to Tel-HaShomer ‘Sheba’ Medical Center, where they were photographed hugging family members.
Many Palestinians, including children, were killed and injured in the area of the operation, with images and footage showing large numbers of casualties.
Two hospitals in Gaza, al-Aqsa hospital and al-Awda hospital, said they counted 70 bodies, while Hamas’ media office put the death toll at more than 200.
Earlier, Israel Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari said Cogat, the Israeli Ministry of Defense agency in charge of civilian policy in the occupied West Bank and Gaza, estimated fewer than 100 casualties.
