Don Lemon talks about politics and interracial marriage

Don Lemon opens up about interracial relationships
In the interview, Don Lemon recounted when he knew he wanted to get married, Tim Malonesince their engagement in 2019.

The TV journalist told Carter that he received a lot of backlash for having an interracial relationship, but he was unfazed because he was truly happy.
“I see it online with people saying oh he married a white guy from white, but I actually see it from African-Americans more and to me it’s just unknowledge. You love who you love, you love who you love. But it happened that I fell in love with him and that’s who I married and that was it. And everyone should be able to love who they love. I’m not related to anyone. No one should tell me who I should marry. And especially those who have experienced discrimination should know better,” lemon declared.
Don’t talk politics on ‘Dishin’ It’
Don made sure to share his thoughts on the current political situation when chatting with Justin. Lemon said that we are at a very “critical” moment before the 2024 presidential election. The reporter explained that he does not think President Biden is too old to run for president.
He further stated that we are in unusual times between the trial of Donald Trump and Guilty.
“Sitting in this seat, where you have a president facing four cases and I think like 84 counts or charges against him, that’s a normal position to sit in. It’s an unusual time for us. And someone doesn’t believe in democracy and is telling us that if he returns as president he will become a dictator. We’re at a very important moment right now and I feel very lucky and fortunate to be in a position where I can say my shit about it and not have to worry about whether whether someone is mad or not. “ lemon explained.
