They put me on CNN to talk about domestic violence awareness and become an advocate. The Kellys allowed me to go to military bases and talk about abuse,” Drea said.
Drea went on to say that the real “gag” is that no one would bat an eye if her last name wasn’t Kelly. “My name means more to you than it does to me. You’re not trying to be a supporter, you’re being nosy; why, because my last name is Kelly.”

Drea kept it real, admitting that she didn’t even check out R. Kelly (aka Robert Kelly) at first while on tour with him. But after finding out her fiancé was cheating, she gave Robert a try. “I carry a whole uterus. I’ve given birth, so the fact that women say things like that makes me sad, and because you can’t follow what I do, because you haven’t done your research, you think you can go online and say, ‘She didn’t do anything, Tina Turner did something.’ The only difference between me and Tina Turner is that she sings on stage with Ike, I dance on stage with Robert,” Drea continued.
