Apple’s AirPods Pro (8/10, WIRED recommended) is a rare exception in the modern electronics market. Even as the quantity and quality of wireless headphones changes, they keep getting better. Now that they’re on sale for Black Friday at the lowest prices I’ve ever seen, there’s no reason for iPhone owners to buy anything else.

Best AirPods deals ever
The first time I tried out the latest AirPods Pro at Apple’s launch event, it was easy to get caught up in the hype. Apple representatives know how to make their products so special that you almost Fight don’t love them. However, it only took me a few days to fall in love with the Pro. It all starts with a seemingly magical new feature: noise-canceling transparency mode.
As an audio restoration expert and current audio reviewer, my ears are my livelihood. So when Apple promised the AirPods Pro’s completely natural-sounding transparency mode Can block loud noiseI was both skeptical and excited. But the noise cancellation really works. While Apple is quick to tell you that these earbuds are not certified as earplugs, I’ve worn them at concerts and even Russell Wilson’s extremely loud comeback to played against his former Seahawks team at Lumen Field, and the headphones held up surprisingly well under the chaos.
Of course, that’s just one reason why many people love AirPods Pro. They sound great, with noise cancellation good enough to surpass some best noise canceling headphonessleek and airy design and comprehensive controls (in the latest version). The lack of volume control was the biggest flaw in the previous generation, and Apple has made it completely convenient in the current pair of headphones.
The biggest downside to the Pro is that the battery life is only about six hours with noise cancellation, which will decrease over time. It’s not bad, but it’s not great. Even with all they offer, that makes their initial $250 price tag worth at least some hesitation. That’s no longer the case – pun intended. (Speaking of which, it now adds multiple charges for a total of 24 hours of playback.)
