Key iOS 19 features leaked, could bring ChatGPT-like Siri and more advanced features

Apple launched in September iOS 18 update for iPhone, and it’s now starting to work on next year’s iOS 19 update. The next iPhone software upgrade is expected to have more prominent features, and some of them have already started appearing online. We previously came across news highlighting Apple’s take on bringing Large Language Modeling (LLM) to Siri. This rumor could come true when iOS 19 launches in June 2025. iOS 19 update features

According to Mark Gurman’s latest report on Bloomberg, Apple is expected to bring a more conversational version of Siri with advanced major language models. Gurman emphasized that Siri is expected to be transformed into OpenAI’s ChatGPT, which will also perform more complex tasks than other LLM chatbots. It is expected that the new improved Siri will be announced alongside iOS 19 at WWDC 2025 in June, however, the official introduction could take place in spring 2026.

Gurman further emphasized that several other advanced features are on the way. However, they are delayed for the iOS 19.4 update. He said, “I understand that a larger than usual number of features planned for iOS 19 (other than the new Siri) have been postponed until spring 2026 (when iOS 19.4 launches).” However, the expected features are yet to be revealed, so we may have to wait a little longer to know what Apple has planned for iOS 19 and other updates later.

This is not the first time Apple has delayed key features as we have also seen a similar trend with the iOS 18 update. The company previewed some Apple Intelligence features. However, it still holds back major updates for newer versions of iOS 18 as it delays AI features for iOS 18.2 and newer updates.

Now, iPhone users are waiting for the iOS 18.2 update which is expected to have advanced features like ChatGPT integration, Genmoji, Image Playground, etc. iOS 18.2 is expected to be rolled out by mid-December , so more Apple Intelligence is coming your way.
