Florida man Harun Abdul-Malik Yener, 30, was arrested on November 20 for allegedly planning to set off a bomb in New York City before Thanksgiving. Authorities charged Yener with attempting to use an explosive device to destroy a federal commerce building.

The FBI began investigating Harun Abdul-Malik Yener in February after “receiving a tip” that he “stored bomb-making diagrams in an unlocked storage facility,” according to a source. press release from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida. The release also revealed that police discovered sketches and bomb-making materials, such as electronic circuit boards and timers, in Yener’s archives.
