  • It’s portable, has great runtime, is very powerful, and easy to use.
  • The supplied hose is a bit short and there is no way to deflate an over-inflated tire.

I never really knew how much I needed a portable air compressor until I got my first one. I’m using either a device that connects directly to an AC outlet or a 12V device that plugs into the car’s auxiliary electrical system. It turns out that making a powerful air pump into a power bank is truly genius.

Contained in a device measuring 6.49 x 2.75 x 1.96 inches and weighing 1.1 pounds are a power bank, air pump, and flashlight. This is the perfect combination for a device that you can keep in the glove box of your car or your backpack when riding your bike or motorbike. When a minor emergency occurs, you’re ready.

The 6,600mAh battery capacity provides enough power to refill an average car tire (195/65 R15) from 30PSI to 36PSI in less than a minute, and it has enough life to refill up to a dozen tires in one go. charger.

The air pump has four pre-programmed modes to inflate different items – car tires, motorbike tires, bicycle tires and balls – plus a custom mode that you can preset for a range specific pressure.

Also: This rugged power bank is one of the fastest I’ve ever used – and it’s nearly perfect

The compressor’s user interface is clear and easy to understand. The display is large and easy to read day or night, and the buttons are easy to understand — the last thing you want to do when dealing with a tire problem is have to find the manual to decipher your machine’s air compressed.

This device is provided with a quick connector that attaches faster, easier and with less hassle when used on car tires than the screw-in-place type. It also comes with an adapter set and accessories for inflating tires and bike balls.

The snap-on connector is really handy, but the tube is a bit short.

The air compressor has a USB-A output, so you can use it as a power bank and a dual-color LED light for nighttime emergencies. You use the USB-C port to charge the device.

However, it’s not perfect. It’s almost over, but there are a few things I’d like to see added to a future version.

First, the hose is a bit short, meaning you have to bend down next to the car to inflate the tire. Something a little longer than a 7.5-inch tube would make life much easier but would also add to the bulk and weight of the unit.

There’s also no automatic way to release air from over-inflated tires, so if you come across ones with too much air in them, the air must be released manually by pressing on the valve stem.

ZDNET Buying Tips

the AstroAI L4 is the perfect tool to keep in the glove box when you drive a four-wheeler and in your backpack when you drive a two-wheeler. It’s a quick and easy way to keep your tires properly inflated, save money and make your ride safer. The addition of a power bank and LED flashlight gives this kit a lot of versatility.

At a regular price of $80, this is a competitively priced portable air compressor and for me is a must-have in the trunk.
