The Hyte Y70 Silver Wolf Edition PC Tower is one giant machine and it’s perfect for any Silver Wolf or Honkai: Star Railway fan. While I don’t have the PC tower on my desk, it’s nice enough that I’d consider permanently changing my setup in the future to accommodate it. However, know that it requires quite a bit of real estate from those who want to buy it.
First of all, Hyte’s Silver Wolf Y70 carrying case is adorable. There’s a cool retro design similar to Pixel World’s appearance in the Simulated Universe, and I felt really excited when I opened the box thanks to both this design and its sheer size. It feels like Christmas has come early. The case it came in was so tight that I had to turn the PC over, and the hallway where I decided to do this was so narrow that I had to turn it over. do hit my leg a few times. So, make sure you unbox this PC tower in an open space.
First impression? Great! It’s unabashed and I like it for that. Everywhere I look I see Silver Wolf. Even the back of the device has a chibi v version of her, meaning you won’t miss her no matter how you set this thing up. When a design is this busy, it risks looking gaudy. In my definition of the word, it avoids that since each surface only has one specific design on it. This isn’t actually a collage, and if you tried to buy it, you obviously wanted it for the Silver Wolf artwork.
My favorite part here is the mesh, which is a lovely purple-blue color. It’s a colorway that I’m personally really excited about, and I’m looking forward to when and if Hyte decides to do a March 7 release. Yes, my favorite characters are Dan Heng and Blade, but March’s color scheme works for me. This PC also comes with a fan cover. For people like me who don’t know what a fan cover is, these days they are more about aesthetics than functionality. There is also a keychain as a pre-order bonus and is designed to resemble a USB stick. It’s quite discreet in that it doesn’t Look alike Star railway The goods at first glance are unfortunately a negative for me.
One thing that might make people hesitate before buying the Silver Wolf Y70 from Hyte is the size. My PC tower and my desk in the current setup are one Hyte Y40 and Mittzon electric desk from Ikea. This table is quite large and has an outlet for easy cord access. However, because of the small items and organizers on my desk, I couldn’t really put the Y40 on it, let alone the Y70.

It’s quite big, isn’t it? I believe that if you’re the type of person who has a fairly minimalist desk (like you don’t have random arrangements, lamps, dolls or diffusers), then it’s not a big deal. If you’re going to buy a gaming PC tower, chances are you’re going to get a large desk. Size isn’t even really a bad thing, as this means you don’t have to worry about your graphics card and the accessories inside.
It really sucks that I outsourced my PC build, which meant I wasn’t familiar with the ins and outs of my own machine. That’s what made me too scared to take it apart and put everything in the Silver Wolf PC, and I couldn’t make an appointment with my store in time. In the future, when I move the contents of my current PC to the Silver Wolf, I’ll be sure to rearrange the desk so I can admire it as Hyte intended for me.
