A TikToker has sent social media abuzz with engagement rumors after sharing a video of herself and Big Sean out and about. However, the ‘Stay Ready’ singer wasted no time in addressing the speculations after X (formerly Twitter) started circulating the video.

This is how the engagement rumors started
In the clip, Aiko poses cutely for the paparazzi and puts her hand to her mouth, flashing the sparkling ring. Sean stood next to her, smiling. She got in the car first, he signed an autograph before closing the door, signing more and taking pictures.
@TheFineFeminine shared the video on X on November 15 and has since garnered over 3.4 million views, over 77,000 likes, and over 500 comments. “Jhene has a ring on her finger. Bullying works,” the caption said.

About three hours after @TheFineFeminine shared the video, Jhené Aiko Slide in the comments section with her clarification.
“This ring is from my stylist. It just fits that finger, the more you know,” Aiko wrote from her X account.
User @Kirkkendyll replied to Aiko and asked: “So this isn’t a wedding ring? Just wanted to make sure I understand.” Jhené Aiko has redoubled her efforts to quell engagement speculation. She wrote back, “Exactly. However, I did get something nice for my right hand.”

This is the second time in recent months that Jhené Aiko has clarified her relationship with Big Sean regarding marriage. In July, Big Sean joined her on stage for a sold-out show in Los Angeles. He performs the song “Be Careful” and as the lyrics about exchanging rings play, Aiko raises her empty ring finger to the crowd.

While it seems like she’s ready to become his grandmother, Big Sean shared his doubts ahead of their LA show. The rapper seemingly admitted to Charlamagne in an interview that he felt their relationship wasn’t ready for marriage. “For me, marriage represents the best relationship.” Sean said. However, he made it clear that marriage is not off the table but there is still work to be done.
“I’m not discounting anything and I’m not saying we won’t get married,” he said. “And I don’t like putting my personal stuff out there, but I feel like there’s a lot of work that needs to be done in general.”
