Exclusive: ‘Slime Heroes’ Is An Adorable “Souls-Lite,” Dodge Rolling Onto Switch Coming Next Year
Pancake Games and Whitethorn Games today announced that the adorable looking “Souls-lite” game Slime hero will appear on Switch in early 2025.
This installment will have you playing as a slime (naturally), tasked with taking on the guardian of the Volcano and all of his terrifying minions. To do so, you’ll have to explore your melee arsenal, upgrade your slime stats, and learn to master evasive combat. Yep, it looks like a Souls-like beginner’s guide.
Obviously, this is much brighter than anything in FromSoftware’s back catalog, and it looks like the developer has made an effort to make things as accessible as possible. There are magical gems you can use to tweak your builds, the entire game can be played in both local and online co-op, there are even hats that can unlock to increase your slime stat (and look cool doing it).
Below is a list of the game’s features and some screenshots from publisher Whitethorn Games:
Gain capabilities and change them on the fly: Collect and use a treasure trove of gems from defeating enemies, and flexibly combine skills to create unique attacks that suit your playstyle at any time.
Play alone or with friends: Try it out alone or join a friend’s game at any time to enjoy an exciting online co-op adventure. With a shared loot system, both of you will be able to generate free abilities to take on the fiercest corrupt enemies.
Travel across an expansive world: Explore six distinct regions in a large, vibrant open world and meet the gods who rule each region. Explore secret passages, hidden areas and unique puzzle dungeons, each with its own challenges to overcome.
Make your own slime: Give your slimes some personality when you customize their faces and colors to your liking. Finding hats throughout the map not only gives your slime a little extra fun, but also provides useful stat buffs, keeping you fashionable and battle-ready.
We still don’t have an exact release date for this product except First quarter of 2025but we’ll be watching in the coming months for more updates.
Will you be picking this up early next year? Let us know in the comments.
