Indonesia’s Lewotobi Laki-laki mountain spews a huge column of ash
Indonesia’s Mount Lewotobi Laki-laki has erupted again, causing further panic among people already traumatized by the explosion that killed at least 10 people on Monday.
The country’s volcanology agency reported seven eruptions on Thursday, the strongest of which sent a giant column of ash 8,000 meters (5 miles) into the air.
Authorities imposed a 7km (4.3 mile) exclusion zone around the volcano on the island of Flores.
More than 10,000 people are living in temporary shelters and authorities warn that flash floods and cold lava flows are possible in the coming days.
