The ChatGPT Windows app is available, but only these users can access it
ChatGPT has quickly become an effective assistant for many users. OpenAI offers a free version for everyday tasks, and while this dedicated app is only available on macOS (along with mobile versions), it’s now available on Windows too. You can now download the ChatGPT app for Windows PCs, but there’s a catch with the first version of the Windows app—it’s currently only available to paid members. This means that free users cannot currently access it.
“Today, ChatGPT Plus, Enterprise, Team, and Edu users can begin testing the first version of the Windows desktop application,” OpenAI announced. Get faster access to ChatGPT on your PC with the keyboard shortcut Alt + Space.

ChatGPT on Windows: What can it do?
In addition to quickly starting conversations with the Alt + Space keyboard shortcut, users can also upload files for GPT to analyze, use OpenAI’s tools, and do nearly anything available on the web and mobile. However, it is important to note that the Enhanced Voice Chat feature is currently missing from the app. So if that’s what you’re expecting, it’s not available—at least for now.
