After a financially difficult year, Nintendo Co-Dev TOSE expects ‘Switch 2’ to bring a brighter 2025
After a year of unprecedented financial losses for the Japanese developer TOSE (a team that has co-developed countless projects for Nintendo, Square Enix, Capcom and more), the studio expects ‘Switch 2’ to turn things around by 2025 (thanks, Automatic).
Back in July, TOSE’s third quarter financial report posted a nine-month loss 367 million yen (About 2.28 million USD) because Many projects were cancelled. And yet, the co-developer’s recently revealed sales forecast (reported by Otaku Soken) for the next financial year is upward 21.3%. Why? Because they expect ‘Switch 2’ to be successful.
According to Automaton’s translation, TOSE expects Nintendo’s next console to bring a “particularly favorable breeze” to the market, leading to increased demand for game development.
Seems a bit silly if you ask us.
