This all started about four or five days ago. How many followers have you gathered during that period?
I started, let’s see, I literally hadn’t used TikTok in hours. I went from 6,000 to 576,000, so I had 570,000 followers.

Oh my god.
This is crazy. That was the first time I looked and saw it. This morning, I was at 200 something, so just today I went from 200,000 something to half a million people. That was my first look.

I’m interested in the detective aspect. I know because you’ve said in a few of your TikToks that you’re a true crime enthusiast.
Absolute.
I’m sure you understand the motivation why people do this, but it seems like a reversal to be front and center.
I felt like I was in an episode Crime addict. I usually just listen to it while driving to work, and now I feel like I’m in an episode, so I wonder, where is Ashley Flowers? Where is she? We need to talk. Yes.
The first time I was alone, it only lasted a minute without my phone blowing up. I just took a deep breath and I thought, I’ve seen this happen to other people in movies, and the fact that it was happening to me blew my mind.
Perhaps this is an obvious question, but does it feel different? There’s a lot of talk about impact of Everyone’s fascination with true crime. In a way, has there ever been a time when it became more realistic?
So when I was on Live, I sang Risk! song, because the time between the detectives getting here and the dogs getting here was 45 minutes. So I kept saying, “This is a commercial break,” and I absolutely thought there was no chance of this happening. This was a fun ending to a crazy story and what a great way to end this whole thing. The dogs don’t see anything. They left, case closed. That’s what I expected.
Then the dogs smelled something.
Well, the first dog sat, and I heard it clearly in the video, you hear me walking and I started shaking, and that’s when it became real for me. The second that white dog sat down, I thought, “This is different.”
I bet.
You see things like this on social media and you’re like, “Oh, that’s crazy. One in a million.” To be one of those one million people, I can’t even describe in words how out of my body it was… I kept feeling like I was about to wake up, and it was all just a crazy dream.
A few days ago you were making t-shirts.
Well, back when we just hit 10,000 followers, we made t-shirts that said “Just keep learning.” Again, it’s a joke. Then, other T-shirts read: “I’m just here for updates.” Pretty much every comment on my video will say.
