Coldplay Ticket Sales: BookMyshow Fails! Website and App Crash at 12pm


Coldplay Mumbai Concert Tickets: Coldplay fans were left disappointed today when the BookMyShow website and app crashed just as tickets for the band’s concert in India went on sale. The British band will perform at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on January 18 and 19 next year, marking their return to India after a nine-year hiatus. The incident occurred at 12pm on September 22, as eager fans rushed to buy tickets.

Fans were quick to X it to express their disappointment. One user, @VishalVerma_9tweeted, “Indians every time they try to book tickets for Coldplay and any other big event on BookMyShow! it crashes again!”

Another user shared a meme capturing the frustration, echoing similar sentiments about the recurring problems in India’s big-ticket sales. Others tried to lighten the mood with humor, like @ishanagarwal24someone tweeted, “WHAT? How am I supposed to survive this queue lol BookMyShow… Well at least I didn’t get Coldplay India tickets today. Still showing off.”

Website continues with long queues

Subsequent updates said the BookMyShow website was back up and running, but there were still long lines, adding to the stress of fans trying to buy tickets. Some users found humor in the situation, while others complained about the long wait times and uncertainty.

Amid the chaos, advice began to circulate online, with one user suggesting, “If you’re in line for Coldplay tickets and it’s slow, refresh your page. It’ll be faster.”

Another user, @gautmaxxproudly shared that they had booked 16 tickets across four different accounts, celebrating the win by saying, “Let’s go!!! #Coldplay #BookMyShow.”

BookMyShow addressed the situation on X, stating, “We have heard you and want every fan to have a fair chance to get tickets to experience the show! A user can book a maximum of 4 TICKETS for all shows! Tickets will go on sale at 12 noon!”

The “Music of the Spheres World Tour” has sold more than 10 million tickets globally since its launch in 2022, with upcoming shows planned in Abu Dhabi, Seoul and Hong Kong.
