Donald Trump has been the target of an alleged assassination attempt for the second time in just a few months.
The former president was taken to safety after a gunman was spotted hiding in bushes at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida.
The suspect, named by CBS News, the BBC’s US partner, as Ryan Wesley Routh, fled in a car but was later stopped and arrested on I-95.
Trump was not injured and later posted on social media that he was “safe and well”.
