I’m often surrounded by dozens of phone cases, and many of them are perfectly fine! They just don’t stand out, or have some quirk that I don’t like. That’s what you’ll find below. You might like them more than I do.
OtterBox Figura MagSafe Case for $50: These tie-dye cases are absolutely fantastic. The buttons click well and the MagSafe connection is solid. They’re a little slippery, but the edges around the screen are raised enough to protect the screen.
OtterBox Symmetry Series Cactus Leather MagSafe Holster $47: Cactus skin is not EQUAL sustainable as companies want you to think because there is still fossil fuel-based plastic in their construction. However, this OtterBox case at least more environmentally friendly than polycarbonate shells and it a pretty fancy box. I like the texture, it adds grip and is very thin. I just wish the buttons were a little easier to press.
Ultra-thin MagSafe Case for iPhone 15 for $60: Like Totallee, if you hate cases but still want something to protect your device from scratches, this ultra-thin case from Thinborne is the way to go. The case is made from aramid fiber and is a hard case. very It’s hard to remove (unless you have long nails). It has MagSafe embedded in it and it’s very sturdy, although again, keep in mind that this isn’t a drop-proof case. Thinborne includes two screen protectors in the box, which is nice.
Waterfield Designs Pocket EDC iPhone Case $59: If you like to keep your iPhone in your pocket at all times but don’t want to scratch it up along with other items, this is a great option from Waterfield Designs. It fits the iPhone 15 Pro Max and has pockets for pens, cards, and cash. The main zippered compartment can also hold a passport, and there’s even a small pocket for AirTags to track your bag if you lose it. It’s made from X-Pac, which is water-resistant, although only items in the zippered pocket will benefit.
Mous Limitless 5.0 MagSafe Case for $60: Mous has a few different textures to choose from. Aramid is boring, but I recommend walnut or bamboo if you want a wood case. The case is well-made with polycarbonate, thermoplastic urethane, and thermoplastic elastomer. The edges around the screen are raised, the MagSafe connector is secure, and the buttons work well. I found the edges a little slippery.
Mous IntraLock MagSafe Phone Case $60: This is a pretty slim box with buttons and raised edges that give good access to the screen and camera module. It comes with Mous’s exclusive IntraLock system, which allows you to connect it more securely to other Mous accessories like bike rack. I prefer Peak Design’s SlimLink line of accessories, but this is also a great alternative.
Spigen Tough Armor MagFit ($25): The Tough Armor definitely has some of the best clicky buttons I’ve ever pressed on a case, including the Action button. There’s a hole in the middle to show off the classic Apple logo, and on the front, the edges are raised above the screen for extra protection. The kickstand is okay. I found it a little hard to pull out, and it only works in landscape orientation. But hey, it’s cheap. I tested it out too. Spigen Mag Armor And Strong armorbut I don’t like them as much as Tough Armor or the options above.
OtterBox Commuter MagSafe Case $35: This case is like a reverse version of the Defender XT we recommended above. You slide a rubber bumper over your iPhone and a polycarbonate shell with MagSafe components on the back. It’s pretty secure on all sides, except for the MagSafe, which isn’t as secure as other OtterBox cases. I don’t know if it’s because of the weight of the Pro Max I tested, but it was easier to remove from my MagSafe wireless charging pad.
Rokform Crystal product line And Rugged Series $70: This is a thick, sturdy case, but the selling point is the strong MagSafe connection, which the company says is four to five times stronger on magnetic surfaces than regular MagSafe cases. That’s true, it stuck really well to my metal desk. If you want a strong magnetic connection, it’s perfect. However, this also presents a problem when trying to get perfect alignment on the first try with your MagSafe wireless charger. Since almost the entire back of the case is magnetic, you’ll find yourself having to figure out how to position it in the right position to charge. That kind of defeats the purpose of MagSafe, doesn’t it?
Casetify Ultra Bounce MagSafe Case for $88: Paying $100 for a case is, frankly, insane to me. I’m not a huge fan of the camera bump on this case—I feel like I’m smudging my camera more than ever because it sits flush with the rest of the case. The volume rocker is also a little mushy. However, the large bumps in the corners do a good job of absorbing impact and protecting your phone. You’ll have a hard time fitting it into a pocket, but there’s a place to attach a strap (not included) if you want to wear this bulky thing on your wrist. Casetify also has a ton of different designs to choose from. I tested them out and same as Impact cases ($68)still expensive but cheaper than this.
Catalyst Influence MagSafe Case for $60: This case has speaker ports that point the speakers on the bottom of the iPhone towards your face and it’s pretty effective! Action button Sadly, it’s a cutout instead of a button, but it’s not too hard to access. Non-Pro models have the classic Catalyst dial that you can twist to enable the mute switch.
Burga Elite MagSafe Case $85: There are a variety of styles to choose from, and they definitely look like something out of New York Fashion Week. The buttons are sturdy, the screen is protected a bit by raised edges, and while the Action button on the Pro models is a cutout instead of a button, it’s not hard to reach. The MagSafe connection is reliable and has a good grip. Burga also has Case without MagSafe ($35) If you don’t like magnets, but feel it’s obviously cheaper.
Wave Case MagSafe for $47: These cases have a cutout for the Action button on the Pro models, but it’s relatively easy to reach. The MagSafe support is solid and they work perfectly. They’re just a little tarnished. Are not The sad thing is that they are made from biodegradable wheat straw and come in 100% recyclable packaging.
UAG Pathfinder MagSafe Case $50: I’ve tested a bunch of UAG cases, and the Pathfinder is my favorite. The design, especially solid colors like Cloud Blue, has a space-age industrial look. Neat! The edges have good grip, there’s room for straps, and the MagSafe accessory hooks up really well. Sadly, the Action button is cut out—but that’s not a problem for me. iPhone 15 And iPhone 15 Plus and their mute switches!
Speck Presidio Perfect-Clear MagSafe Case for $50: This is a pretty good clear case, but the Action button is a little hard to press. It also gets dirty easily. It comes with Speck’s proprietary ClickLock magnetic attachment solution for added security with Speck MagSafe accessories, but you can use any MagSafe device with this case. It’s made from 50 percent recycled plastic.
Spigen Optik Armor Magfit Case for $27: This case is only available for Pro models. It covers the rear cameras, whether you want to keep them protected or want some extra privacy and peace of mind. I like the matte texture on the back. I noticed a few reviews said they had trouble using it with wireless chargers and MagSafe accessories, but I haven’t had any issues. The camera cover sticks out from the edge when you leave it open, but you can remove it completely if you plan on taking a lot of photos. Just don’t lose it! The Action button is also a little stiff.
Incipio AeroGrip MagSafe Case for iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max for $30: It doesn’t wobble much on the desk, and as the name suggests, it has a pretty good grip. However, the Action button is cut off and I found it a bit difficult to access.
Incipio Forme Clear MagSafe Case for $40: This is a fun clear case with a cool design that glows rainbow colors when the light hits it. Like the AeroGrip, the Action button is cut out and hard to press, but I had no issues with it. This is a solid option for non-Pro iPhones.
Mous Clarity 2.0 MagSafe Case for $75: This clear case It has a black bumper and sturdy MagSafe support. The buttons click and the edges around the screen are slightly raised. However, it smudges easily and is priced too high compared to the clear cases above.
Case-Mate D30 Ultra-Tough MagSafe Case for $19: The Action button is cut out on this case, which is annoying, but overall it’s pretty nice. The edges are raised all over, and the buttons are clickable. The only issue? Why is there a big Case-Mate D30 logo on the back of the case? People want a clear case to show off their phone, not your brand.
Caseology Athlex Case for $10: This case is super cheap but doesn’t feel like it. It has a nice grippy texture that feels luxurious, with grooved edges that make it more comfortable to hold. It just available for Pro modelsand the only downside is that there is no MagSafe. If you don’t like Apple’s magnetic accessory system, this case will satisfy you.
Cyrill Kajuk Mag MagSafe Case for $27: I tried a few Cyrill cases, including Cecile Transparent Sparkle And UltraSheer Magazineand this is my favorite product. It is only available for Pro modelsBut it ticks all the boxes, has great MagSafe support, and even comes with a strap.
15:21 Cork Box for $45: I find it hard to recommend a case that costs this much without MagSafe. However, the cork has an unusual but pleasing aesthetic and is made to last. There are no covered buttons, and it’s very thin, so it’s not meant to protect the phone from drops, but rather from everyday scrapes. The iPhone 15 will still attach to MagSafe accessories through the case, but the magnetic attachment is significantly weaker, making things a little more precarious.
UAG Consumer MagSafe Case for $60: In my limited use, the case has met a lot of my needs, even though it’s a bit basic. The MagSafe is sturdy, and the buttons click. My only concern is that the Amazon reviews say the case will wear out after a few months. I haven’t been able to test it long-term to verify those claims.
