‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Star Arrested at Tennessee Zoo


A trip to Tennessee ended with Amy Slaton behind bars on Monday (September 2). The Crockett County Sheriff’s Department announced she Labor Day Arrest on Facebook. Slaton and a man named Brian Scott Lovern While visiting the Alamo Safari Park, he was bitten by a camel and handcuffed.

At one point during Amy and Brian’s visit, the sheriff’s office received a call about a camel biting a visitor. The Facebook post and additional reports did not identify who was bitten. However, when police arrived on the scene, they found Amy and Brian inside a vehicle that had a “suspicious odor.”

After further investigation, Slaton and Lovvorn were arrested for illegal possession of Schedule I and VI drugs. According to local law firm May-McKinneySchedule 1 drugs are typically psychedelics, ranging from psilocybin mushrooms to heroin, peyote, and LSD. Meanwhile, the only drugs classified as Schedule VI in the state are marijuana, THC, and related equivalents.

As mentioned, both were arrested on two counts of child endangerment, but the names and ages of the minors affected are still unclear. It is also unknown whether the minors were in the vehicle at the time of the arrest.

To put that into perspective, Amy Slaton’s arrest comes more than a year after her ex, Michael Halterman, filed for divorce in March 2023 after six years of marriage. The former couple have two children, three-year-old Gage Dion and two-year-old Glenn Allen. Amy and Michael are said to have finalized their separation on September 6, 2023, According to The US Sun.

Police later booked Amy and Brian into the Crockett County Jail. However, the nature of their relationship, including whether it was romantic, remains unclear.
