Retro-Inspired Pixel-Art Platformer ‘BZZZT’ Coming to Switch Next Month
Publisher Cinemax Games and developer KO.DLL today announced that the retro-inspired platform game BZZT will jump to On September 19.
This first jumped onto our screens in Indie World Exhibition April 2024With beautiful pixel graphics and a vibrant soundtrack, it seems like it would be an ideal fit for the Switch. Based on the additional footage we saw in today’s release day trailer, it looks like our assumption was correct.
BZZZT is a fast-paced platform game where you must control the cute robot ZX8000 through a series of dangerous missions to stop the evil scientist Badbert’s evil plans.
Single-player developer Karel Matejka (KO.DLL) built BZZZT as an homage to classic platform games of the past, combining incredibly detailed (and gorgeous) pixel art with modern gameplay mechanics.
Here is a summary of the game’s key features and some screenshots:
– Choose between different difficulty levels, from easy to hard, depending on whether you are a beginner or an expert at playing platform games.
– Enjoy incredibly precise and intuitive controls that let you do what you want, when you want, and exactly how you want.
– Test your limits in exciting time challenges.
