Halle recalls sharing her pregnancy news with Chloe
During a live stream with Baby Halo, Chloe and Halle answered fans’ questions about Chloe’s reaction to Halle’s pregnancy.
Halle said that one time she and Darryl, also known as DDGWhen she found out they were expecting, she called Chloe immediately to share the news.
“I don’t think she believed me. She thought I was joking when I told her,” Halle said while rocking Halo to sleep. The ‘Little Mermaid’ actress later recalled Chloe gasping for breath on the phone, but immediately appearing excited about the big news.
Chloe agreed with Halle, saying she was excited from day one.
“I’m so excited because you know, he’s like my baby. And I really really love him. He makes me so happy, I can’t explain it.”
During the live broadcast, Halle also shared that her family joked that she would always be the first to get married and have kids, since she’s always talked about wanting to have a family.
Chloe then replied, “I think he’s like the biggest blessing. So I’m so happy. He’s like a little addition. He’s definitely made our lives more interesting.”

In late 2023, Halle Bailey had the network suspecting that she and DDG were expecting their first child. However, she has consistently denied the rumors and remained silent about her pregnancy.
In January, Halle confirmed these speculations by announcing the launch of Halo in an Instagram post. EVERYBODY said she and DDG welcomed their son in December 2023.
At the ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Awards, Halle discussed her decision to keep her pregnancy private.
“With the state of the world and the position that men are in trying to impose their will on our bodies, no one on social media, and certainly no one on this planet, is going to tell me what to do with my body or what to share with the world,” Halle declared.
Halle remained adamant about her privacy and chose not to share any photos of her son until July, when she and DDG revealed the first photo of him on Instagram.
