9 Duke stomps in North Carolina in Coach K’s final game at Chapel Hill
Mike Krzyzewski stepped off the field at North Carolina for the last time as a coach on Saturday. He went away with a big win.
Number 9 Duke had an easy win over North Carolina in Krzyzewski’s final road game against his conference opponent, topping out 87-67. Krzyzewski plans to retire at the end of the season.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, it was Duke’s fourth major road win over North Carolina since the start of the ACC (season 1953-54), and the second major win under Krzyzewski. This is also the second time in the past 20 years that Duke has beaten North Carolina on the road without a hold.
