Paramedics rushed to the scene and he was given CPR on the field for several minutes, before being given oxygen and taken to the hospital. The game was temporarily paused for over 45 minutes before the match was officially adjourned by the league at 10pm EST.

1. He fell after a big block
Damar fell after dealing with wide receiver Tee Higgins at 8:55 p.m., with 5:38 left in the first quarter. Although he seemed fine at first, he later collapsed onto the field unconscious.
He was lying on the field for more than 9 minutes, during which time he was given oxygen and artificial respiration. About 16 minutes after his injury, he was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center’s Level 1 trauma center at about 9:25 p.m., every morning. GAME.
2. NFL released a statement
The union released a statement about an hour after the incident happened. It said, “Hamlin received immediate medical attention at the scene by the team and independent paramedics and local paramedics. He was later transferred to a local hospital, where he is in critical condition.

5. He grew up playing in Pennsylvania
Damar grew up in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, and attended Pittsburgh Central Catholic. During his high school career, he was named All-State First Division Defensive Player and AAAA Class.
He went on to play for the University of Pittsburgh, where as a freshman made his late debut scoring 41 tackles with one interception in nine games played. After three years of strong play, he was named captain of the team in his final season.
