NASCAR star Bobby East was attacked at a gas station in Orange County, CA and died of his injuries on Wednesday, July 13 at the age of 37. The racing enthusiast was reportedly refueling at a 76 station in Westminster when one transient men stabbed Bobby in the chest repeatedly. Emergency responders came to Bobby with serious injuries and immediately took him to a local trauma center where he died.
Westminster Police are currently looking for a suspect named Trent William Millsap, who they describe as a “regular hotel in Westminster, Garden Grove and Anaheim”. He has an excellent parole and is considered armed and dangerous.

1. Bobby is a native of California
The famous racer was born on December 17, 1984 in Torrance, California. He moved to Brownsburg, Indiana, where he began his driving career at the Illiana Motor Speedway in Schererville, Indiana.
2. The American Automobile Club (USAC) called him an “extraordinary” driver.
In a statement released on July 15, USAC wrote, “Bobby has been an instant success in his USAC career. His three winning performances in 2001 made him the most winning USAC National Middleweight Rookie in more than a quarter of a century. In the end, he was rewarded as ‘Rookie of the Year. “
USAC continued: “East is also a phenomenon in the USAC National Sprint Car, most notably on sidewalk trails. “He has 15 wins in this streak, the first of which came in 2003 at Ohio’s Mansfield Motorsports Speedway. He also won the Milwaukee Mile in 2005 in what is still the last USAC Sprinter to be held on a one-mile track. “
3. He has won three USAC national driving titles.
After making his name as the youngest winner of the USAC National Midget event at the age of 16, Bobby went on to win three USAC national driving titles: the 2014 USAC National Midgets title and consecutive USAC Silver. Champion in 2012 and 2013.
4. He debuted NASCAR in 2005.
In 2005, he tried to qualify for three races in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, only going through one race, he ended up crashing his car. A few weeks later, Bobby debuted the NASCAR Busch Series in Memphis at number 46 for ST Motorsports. He performed well, placing 17th.
5. Bobby’s dad built one of his first winning cars.
Bobby’s father was an auto builder in the USAC Hall of Fame Bob East, who is known for his legendary midgets, sprints, and silver crown machines. Bob Sr. built the frame for the #9 Steve Lewis Racing, which his son drove to the winner’s circle in 2004 at the USAC National Midget Series.
