While there’s really no Apple-branded docking station to use with your MacBook, Apple does offer a USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. While it pales in comparison to the options offered by the model above (and some below), it’s much cheaper and covers all the basic needs. You can also expand it further on the fly using a compatible USB-A hub.
Of course, if you’re using this with a MacBook Air, you’ll probably be limited to an extra USB-C port that it’s not already using. However, if you are connecting to a heavier port MacBook Proyou can run two external displays (one via the MacBook’s built-in HDMI port and the other via the dongle) or more if any of them support Thunderbolt-based input.
