People are considering MPVs and SUVs for their practicality. Here are 5 of them coming soon in the Indian market.
MPVs and SUVs have become quite popular around the world. This is mainly due to the practicality, on-road presence and high ground clearance that most of these vehicles offer. Three-row vehicles have spacious space at least for the front two rows. The 3rd row seat can also be used if the journey is short or if it is a long trip, children can use it. Here are 5 7-seater models that will be launched in the Indian market.
Toyota Innova Hycross
Toyota Innova has had great success in the Indian market. This is most people’s favorite MPV when they are about to buy a new 7-seater. The new version of the MPV will be called the Innova Hycross and is expected to launch before the end of this year. It will sit on top of the current Innova Crysta. Toyota has made some significant changes such as using a monocoque chassis, front-wheel drive and it will only be offered with a gasoline engine.
The MPV is based on Maruti Suzuki’s Innova Hycross
It is expected that Maruti Suzuki will also produce an MPV version based on their Innova Hycross. This will be the first time a Toyota car will be re-produced by Maruti Suzuki for the Indian market. It will share the same platform, engine and powertrain, but the exterior design may be different.
Forcing Gurkha 5 doors
Force is working on a 5-door version of Gurkha. It will soon launch in the Indian market. It has a much longer wheelbase but the width has been retained from the three-door model. Due to the increased wheelbase, the Force was able to place in the third row with two forward facing seat. It is not expected that Force will make any changes to the engine.
MPV based on Citroen C3
A 7 seater version of C3 was discovered on the roads of India. The C3 is by far the most affordable car in Citroen’s lineup. The 7-seat version of the C3 will rank above the 5-seat version. It is expected to be powered by the turbocharged engine also offered on the C3. An automatic transmission may also be offered.
Nissan X-Trail
The Nissan X-Trail is currently in its fourth generation. The manufacturer recently introduced the SUV in its seven-seater avatar. It is likely that the X-Trail will be offered with a petrol hybrid engine.
