Four inmates from a low-level federal prison in Hopewell, Va., were found missing early Saturday morning.

A minimum-security federal prison in Hopewell, Va., discovered that four inmates were missing early Saturday morning.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons said inmates, Corey Branch, 41, Tavares Lajuane Graham, 44, Lamonte Rashawn Willis, 30, and Kareem Allen Shaw, 46, were found missing from the District’s satellite camp. Petersburg Federal Correctional Complex at around 1:00:45 a.m.
The US Police Department, FBI and other law enforcement agencies have been notified of the incident. An internal investigation has been launched, according to a news release from the Bureau of Prisons.
The office did not immediately respond to questions from NPR about how the four men escaped and whether they did so together.

Branch was serving a 160-month sentence for possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute as well as felony possession of a firearm.
Graham was serving a 120-month sentence for cocaine possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more and 28 grams of basic cocaine or more. He was also convicted of possessing a firearm in order to continue committing drug trafficking offenses, according to the office.
Willis is serving a 216-month prison sentence for possession and concealment of a stolen firearm, as well as possession of an offender’s firearm.
Shaw was sentenced to 194 months for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute a measurable amount of heroin.

The low-level prison has a total of 675 inmates, including 185 from the satellite camp, according to The website of the Bureau of Prisons.
