The Conference units in Odisha, Jharkhand and Haryana on Tuesday passed resolutions in favor of Rahul Gandhi for the position of party chairman, joining at least eight other congressional commendation committees (PCCs) has been traced back to him.

Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala and former CLP leader Kiran Choudhary did not attend the meeting.
In Kerala, several congressional leaders have come out against Shashi Tharoor – who has suggested in recent days that he might file papers for the highest office – putting pressure on the PCC leadership to summon Set up a joint agency meeting immediately.
“We do not take Tharoor’s candidacy seriously. He did not consult the state leadership before finalizing his candidacy,” said seven-time MP Kodikunnil Suresh.
