At least three people watched the bombing at the home of a Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader in West Bengal’s East Medinipur. According to reports, the explosion occurred near the venue of the scheduled rally of TMC senior leader Abhishek Banerjee in Purba Medinipur district.

The explosion was reported at the home of the president of the Trinamool Parliament pavilion in the village of Naryabila around 11:15 p.m. Friday. Officials said the house was also damaged by the blast.
