3 Dead As Part Of Noida Apartment Building’s Boundary Wall Collapses
New Delhi:
Three construction workers were crushed and several others injured after part of a residential boundary wall in Noida collapsed this morning. Bulldozers have been pushed into rescue work at Jal Vayu Vihar, a large housing complex in Noida’s Sector 21.
The PTI news agency quoted a police officer as saying: “Rescue and relief measures have been deployed. Fire protection and police personnel, including senior officers, are present on the spot. “.
Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his condolences. “The Minister has directed senior officers to immediately arrive and conduct relief work on the war front,” the Secretary’s Office tweeted. The minister has also directed officials to ensure proper treatment of those injured in the incident, his office said.
District Judge Suhas LY arrived promptly after receiving information about the case. “Rescue operations are underway. Details of the injured are being ascertained. The area is being searched as a precaution. All teams are present.” , he told the media.
The district judge said the Noida development agency had contracted to repair the drainage system near the apartment complex. “We were told that while the workers were pulling bricks, the wall collapsed,” he said. This will be investigated.
Pictures from the scene showed rescuers and police trying to remove debris to free trapped workers.
