Bengaluru police have arrested three men, who were seen mercilessly beating a dog in a viral video. The horrifying video of the incident shows them brutally capturing a dog chained with thick wooden bars. One of the men also jostled the videographer as they tried to intervene.
The men continued to beat the dog, which lay on the ground crying in pain, and walked away while the dog’s owner’s family tried to confront them.
The men assaulted the pet dog Monday night because it barked at them. The dog’s owner took the injured animal to a veterinary hospital.
The owner filed a formal complaint on the basis that it was a case under the Cruelty to Animals Act, which resulted in the arrest of three men – Rahul, Rohit and Rajat.
The incident was reported at Manjunatha Arrangement in East Bengaluru, under the KR Puram police department.
