3 Americans found dead at Sandals resort in Bahamas and another hospitalized
Based on NBC NewsThree Americans were found dead at a Sandals resort in the Bahamas, and a fourth was hospitalized.
Reports say a man was found motionless on the floor in the bedroom. Acting Prime Minister of the Bahamas Chester Cooper declared “malgamation cannot be questioned.”
Another woman and man were also found unresponsive but in another villa. Officials say the man was found in the bathroom and the woman was found in the bedroom. The force said: “Both of them showed signs of convulsions.
All three people were pronounced dead at the scene, and “no signs of trauma were found.”
“For Sandals Resorts, nothing is more important than the safety of our guests,” the resort said in a statement. “We are actively working to support both the investigation and the guest’s family in any way we can during this difficult time. Out of respect for the privacy of our guests, we are unable to release further information at this time.”
The resort also said the first incident was classified as a “health emergency.
Authorities also said the cause of death would be determined by the coroner’s report.
The US State Department said it was “closely monitoring” the situation.
