2024 VW ID.Buzz, 2023 Toyota GR Supra, Williams EVR platform: Car News Today
Volkswagen has finally got its hands on a modern Microbus, only this time the car is called ID.Buzz, and runs on electricity. It’s not due in the US until next year but we’ve had a chance to test one. The hype is real.
Another car we tested was the Toyota GR Supra with the new manual transmission option. The manual is a ZF-developed 6-speed for cars powered by BMW’s 382hp turbo inline-6, but it’s been modified by Toyota to make the dials interesting. .
Any company looking to launch an electric performance car can now purchase a modular platform from Williams Advanced Engineering that can handle more than 2,200 horsepower. The UK engineering agency also plans to offer a turnkey solution in which it can deliver a working prototype of the platform within 12 months and a production vehicle within 24 months. .
