2023 Honda Civic CHEAP
In what perhaps one of the the most predict in advance disclosure of the year, Honda just gave the world its first complete look at The all-new Civic Type R 2023 at an event in Los Angeles. While the Type R versions of the Civic have been around the world since 1997, here it is just the second generation of the CHEAP Civic Type to United States Based Civic Hatchback 11th Generation It’s a introduced in 2021, this design has evolved over the last CTR.

New Civic Type R: Exterior
Gone are the days, the “I put on my hat upside down and vape” design is gone, replaced by clean lines around the longer, lower, and wider bodywork. Aside from the large wings, hood vents, and red Type R badging, the rest of the new CTR is almost as refined. Especially the Historic Championship White paint, an exclusive paint color of Type R that you can see here.

Up front, Honda has given the Type R a large lower grille – look up close and you can see a large cooler behind it – a front spoiler and the red badge we’d expect. wait on Type R products.
The good news is that Honda says every air intake or vent on the Type R is fully functional, for cooling, aerodynamics, or both. Vents behind the front wheels help cool the front brakes, and hood vents draw hot air out of the engine compartment.
At the back, there is a large black wing that is, once again, active. The rear bumper is unique to the Type R, with an updated version of the triple output emissions that we saw on the previous generation CTR and rear diffuser.
2023 Honda Civic Type R: Interior
The Type R’s interior looks great, building on the significantly improved interior of the 11th-generation Civic. Biggest update with the new R Model: Even more red upholstery. The seats that were previously red with black accents are now all red, and even the carpet is red instead of black. The seat is upholstered in a suede-like material. When seated in them, they are extremely supple and have no problem holding the rider in place during difficult cornering.
New Civic Type R: Engine and Drivetrain
The return of Honda’s familiar 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, as well as a six-speed manual transmission with automatic revs (which you can, thankfully, turn off). The suspension and steering have been tuned to the Nurburgring for quicker and more precise response.
Honda also added a new driving mode called +R, which is activated by a button near the gear lever. Right now, we just know that this button calls for a new performance-focused layout for the instrument panel (large, horizontal RPM display) and center display (with secondary gauges). for coolant temperature, oil pressure, etc.). We suspect that Mode + R also dials in more aggressive chassis and powertrain settings, but we’ll have to wait for details on all of that.
The Type R is also equipped with a track-oriented data logging system called Honda LogR, which records real-time vehicle information such as pedal pressure and steering angle, along with a stopwatch to record time. lap time and a camera for lap video recording.
2023 Civic Type R: Performance and Power
As for performance, well, Honda hasn’t released any details on horsepower, torque, 0-60 or the like. ’23 Type R is definitely faster than its predecessor on the track: Honda recently set a front-wheel drive record at Suzuka with a prototype of the car you see here. Honda says the 2023 Type R will be the most powerful Honda vehicle ever offered in the US; Those numbers, along with pricing details, will be available later this year.
We’ll have to wait for more details as the Civic Type R’s sale date draws closer. The Type R is set to launch entirely this fall.
