Genesis is ready to start shipping the electric G80.
On Thursday, the Korean automaker announced 2023 Electrified Genesis G80 costs $80,920 and is currently available in California, Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York, but only at select dealers.
Genesis added that the Electrified G80 will go on sale in Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Washington in September. Again, the company notes that it will only be available at select dealers.
Only available in a fully loaded version, the luxury sedan will have all-wheel drive thanks to a dual-motor drive system with 136 kW electric motors attached to each axle for a total output of 365 hp. . An 87.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack powers the motors, and Genesis says it will offer a 282-mile range. Official EPA ratings have yet to be released.

Genesis says the Electrified G80 can recharge from 10% to 80% in 22 minutes when connected to a 350 kW charging station. The automaker has partnered with Electrify America and will offer buyers three years of free 30-minute fast charging.
It will take a sharp eye to spot the Electrified G80 because it looks so close to Gasoline brothers and sisters. The grille has been closed and is a solid piece, although the charging port is hidden in the grille on the driver’s side with a diamond-shaped door that opens. Model-specific 19-inch wheels and available Matira Blue exterior paint are the easiest ways to spot the electric version of the luxury sedan.

Inside, the Electrified G80 looks like the gas-powered model, but the electric model can be optionally available in the new Dark Lagoon Green and Glacier White color schemes.
Every Electrified G80 gets automatic emergency braking, active lane control, blind spot monitor and automatic high beams.
