The Ford F-150 is making headlines for offering an electric variant, but the next generation is bigger F-Series Super Duty trucks and chassis cabins with gasoline and diesel engines. New connectivity and technology options promise to make the workday easier for small businesses and fleets.
Ford revealed the year 2023 super mission on Tuesday with a pair of new engines, improved towing and towing capabilities, and a full suite of connected enterprise features.
The new base engine is a 6.8-liter V-8 based on the existing one 7.3 liters V-8. It has a smaller diameter and stroke than its larger companion, and although Ford hasn’t shared specs yet, expect it to make more than 385 hp and torque. The V-8’s 430 lb-ft twist comes out. It also comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission instead of the previous 6-speed automatic.
Ford also doesn’t cite power figures for the 7.3-liter V-8, which makes 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque in the outgoing model. However, Ford says it’s targeting best-in-class air power and torque thanks to new air intakes and better cooling. It also comes with a 10-speed automatic transmission, as well as a carry-on 6.7-liter diesel V-8, which will receive an optional high-output version this time around. Last year’s base model made 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft of torque, and the high-powered version will get a new turbocharger, upgraded exhaust, and revised tuning. Ford says the diesel engine will also be able to last longer between oil changes.
The new Super Duty will use the same ladder frame as the old model but with minor changes to make it a bit stiffer. However, Ford says it has upgraded the rotors and calipers to handle the best towing and handling it wants to achieve. It’s not just ordinary scissors, but also for towing with its fifth wheel design and gooseneck.
2023 Ford Super Duty F-350 Limited
The look is an evolution of today’s epic truck. The grille now wraps around the C-clamp headlights, and the design and finish of the grille come in seven different options based on the model. The truck has a larger side step, available in front of the rear wheel and a bumper in the rear corner. An available camera and rear parking sensors are added to the rear doors so the driver can use the rearview camera and parking sensors when reversing with the rear doors down.
The F-250 and F-350 lineup will again include regular, extended and crew cabin styles with bed lengths between 6 feet-9 and 8 feet.
2023 Ford Super Duty F-250 Tremor
The model lineup will include XL, XLT, Laries, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited, with successively higher trim levels. All but the XL will come standard with all-wheel drive. Ford will also offer three off-road packages, including a new XL Off-Road package and a Tremor . Terrain Pack. The Tremor package will include front lift, off-road suspension tuning, 35-inch Goodyear tires on 18-inch wheels, Dana front axle with limited-slip differential, skid plates, axle vents for ability better wading ability. , and Ford’s Turn Assist system locks the tire on one side to make it easier to turn in slippery terrain. Ford Performance’s 12,000 lb Warn winch will be optional.
Inside, the new Super Duty will offer an 8.0-inch touchscreen on the XL and a 12.0-inch touchscreen on all other models. The truck will be available with a 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless smartphone charging, a driver’s seat that folds down almost as flat as a futon, and an 8- or 18-speaker B&O sound system. The center console will be 1.4 inches lower and every truck will come with a new glovebox on top.
Super Duty will come with automatic emergency braking front and rear, adaptive cruise control at stop and go, and active lane control.

Ford will equip Super Duty with all sorts of standard and optional features to help fleet managers and field workers.
Several trailer options will be available, including a blind-spot monitor that detects when a vehicle is next to the trailer; a trailer backup support system to automatically back up the process; and navigate by trailer to set the route avoiding bridges that are placed too low. The Smart Hitch function helps drivers optimize weight distribution in their trailer, and owners will be able to wire up built-in cameras inside their trailer and monitor them from within the vehicle. Ford also offers an app that alerts owners to the possibility of trailer theft.
Other available features will include Pro Power Onboard with two outlets and up to 2.0 kW of power for power tools and electronics, and a built-in scale for measuring loads and weights too Giang. The latter can be monitored via an app, a central display and even a bar on the taillights that indicates how much load the truck is being used for.
2023 Ford Super Duty F-350 Limited
The 5G Wi-Fi hotspot will enable over-the-air updates and connectivity to fleet services via Ford Pro software. Ford Pro Data Services can analyze fleet vehicle data and integrate with third-party vendors. Vehicle Security will allow fleets to set up time frames and send alerts when vehicles are idle, towing, and when vehicles are involved in a collision or accident. Fleet management software can digitize vehicle reports and track cost of ownership in real time. Ford is partnering with Salesforce for a field service management tool and ADT for security services. Ford will also provide an integrated system that will give aftermarket companies better access to the truck’s electrical system and enable integration with digital displays.
Ford Pro will also assist with financial services, title deeds and registrations and checks for drivers.
The 2023 Ford F-Series Super Duty will be manufactured in Kentucky and Ohio, and it will go on sale early next year. Look for full specs and pricing near the launch date.
