2023 Ford Bronco goes classic with heritage versions
Got a new one Ford Bronco cut! Both Bronco and Bronco Sport can now be ordered with a retro-themed skin pack, called Legacy, but for those who want more 1960′subtlety, there is also Heritage Limited. We will learn the difference later.
Buyer will be able to specify every iteration of Bronco (two-door, four-door and sport) with package. But, it’s in limited supply. Ford intends to produce only 1,966 examples per model. That number celebrates the year the Bronco was originally launched.
The full-size Bronco Heritage comes with a two-tone finish with signature Oxford white accents. That color is found on the hood, grille (including red FORD lettering) and classic style 17-inch wheels wrapped in 35-inch tire. It will also come with square fenders with Sasquatch width fenders. It’s back to the original Bronc’. Standard equipment includes a powder-coated steel shield with integrated recall points and fog lights. Ford says Heritage has 5 paint colors including Robin’s Egg Blue and Yellowstone Metallic.
When you step up to the Bronco Heritage Limited, those white wheels are replaced by a glass black 17 with a “dog treat” center cap. Inside the Heritage Limited there are a host of other changes, like new badges and different seat covers.
The Legacy is normally powered by Ford’s 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine that can be paired with a 7-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic transmission. If you want the 2.7-liter V6, you’ll have to upgrade to the Heritage Limited.
Don’t worry, Bronco Sport stans. It’s not excluded from the Heritage party. The Sport Heritage will be based on the Big Bend trim level. Just like the big Bronco boys, Sport will have the same white grille and accents. Hell, it would even have the same white roof.
It will be equipped with the standard engine found in the Bronco Sport, and it will have struts and return front springs as well as increased ride height. The Sport will also get larger 29-inch all-terrain tires and leather seats with white door trims.
Here is a breakdown of the prices across all the different Bronco variants:
- Bronco Sports Heritage: $34,245
- Bronco Sport Heritage Limited: $44,655
- Bronco Heritage: $44,305
- Bronco Heritage Limited: $66,895
Order books for Bronco Sport models are now open. Full-size Broncos will go on sale later this year. Initial orders will prioritize those with existing Bronco orders waiting for their trucks. Ford says that in 2023, orders will be open to all customers, regardless of reservation status. So if you want one of these bad boys, get in line.
