2023 BMW X1: launch, expected price, delivery, power, features and competitor details

BMW car is gearing up to launch the new generation X1 SUV in the Indian market at the third BMW Joytown festival to be held in Bengaluru on January 28 and 29, 2023. New BMW X1: exterior and interior design

The new BMW X1 has a large kidney grille in chrome, flanked by slender headlights with inverted L-shaped daytime running lights. The new X1 is based on BMW’s FAAR architecture, which will also underpin the upcoming new generation Mini Countryman. Internationally, the X1 is available with two petrol and two diesel engine options with 48V mild hybrid technology. These engines will be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. More powerful petrol and diesel engines are available with all-wheel drive.

The X1 also has a dedicated EV model called the iX1, with a claimed range of up to 437 km.

New BMW X1: competitive test

The new X1, when launched, will compete with the current line of compact luxury SUVs, including Mercedes GLArecent upgrade Volvo XC40, and the newly launched Audi Q3. Expect the new X1 to be a bit more expensive than before, with prices expected to be between Rs 45 lakh-50 lakh.
