2022 Las Vegas Raiders win total: Raiders want to keep going up Vegas

Last year was definitely a wild season for Las Vegas, They had a tough time with their coach, a big money receiver who went to jail, but they still found a way to make it to the knockout stages.

That success has not led to complacency even though they have gone out into the market to invite former New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels to be their next head coach. The non-Belichick coaching staff have been in poor form and he has been on sloppy form in the past, but it looks like this is a good situation for him and the team.

That’s because the Raiders are definitely a midfield team with Derek Carr. They also made one of the more surprising moves of the season when they swapped their former Fresno State teammate for Davante Adams to upgrade their already effective playstyle. AFC West is tough but it seems Raid has enough weapons to compete.

On defense, they’ve made another smart investment in DE/OLB Chandler Jones. Winning requires a team to put pressure on the back four and with him and Maxx Crosby, the Raiders now have an extremely strong passing duo.

If the Raiders were in any other division they would probably win more than 10 games but in the AFC West they will have a lot of challenging games. Even so, getting 9 wins is still the opinion of the market.

Las Vegas Raiders win totals

Above 8.5 (-115)
Under 8.5 (-105)

Best bet: Over 8.5

The Raiders certainly have a tough schedule. In the first 5 games, they play 4 playoff teams from a year ago and that period includes three road games, two matches in the tournament. Getting off to a good start will be a challenge.

After an early goodbye (week 6), they have a slight spot on their schedule that they will have to capitalize on if they are to reach that nine-win threshold. They are hosting Houston and then visiting New Orleans and Jacksonville. Those were three very easy games to win, followed by a visit from the Colts, a team at a very similar level. These are must-win games and they should take precedence over all of them.

After that, there are only a few easy stretches and both are on the road (in Seattle and in Pittsburgh). Las Vegas should be favored in both but the road game in the second half of the season is never easy. The Raiders also had to make a trip to Los Angeles to win the Super Bowl.

The simple fact is that Raid’s schedule is one where a fairly solid team could easily come up against the odds 6-11. I’m passing because I believe in the direction of the team and that they were better than a year ago when things could easily fall apart and they didn’t. Resilience is something that cannot be ignored.

I’m not usually too optimistic with freshman coaches but the McDaniels should have even gotten away with that offense more and have to work more on the defensive work than they did last year. To have a really good season, they’re going to have to win the swing games but that’s something Carr has always been good at. When they need him at the end of the game, he usually delivers. the

I’m not betting big but I’m very optimistic with the Raiders this season. I can get behind them are better than a team .500.
