Surya and Sai went missing while bathing, off Bheemli beach in Visakhapatnam
Visakhapatnam:
Two students were reported missing in Visakhapatnam after a group of seven university students visited Bheemli beach this morning. Helicopters, speedboats and Indian Navy divers have been deployed as search and rescue operations are underway.
According to reports, seven students, who were supposed to be late to the university, decided to visit Bheemli beach instead at around 11:30 am. The four of them then went to the sea to bathe.
However, one of the students, Surya, went missing while swimming in the sea.
Fearing that Surya might have drowned, another student, Sai, went looking for him, but he was also unable to find him afterwards.
The remaining students then called the police for help.
Soon after, Indian Navy personnel aboard INS Kalinga were notified and they rushed in, searching for the two missing students.
Navy helicopters, boats and swimmers began scouring the seas looking for Surya and Sai, but were unable to track them down until a final report.
