15 Killed As Bus Collides With Truck In Madhya Pradesh

The bus carries about 100 people

At least 15 people were killed and 40 others injured after a bus carrying them collided with a lorry in Rewa of Madhya Pradesh.
The bus with around 100 people was on its way to Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh when it collided with a truck parked near Suhagi Pahari in Rewa.
The injured were taken to the district hospital in Suhagi, while the seriously injured are being treated at Rewa’s Sanjay Gandhi Hospital.
Navneet Bhasin, Superintendent of Police, said most of those on the bus were Uttar Pradesh workers who had boarded the bus from Madhya Pradesh’s Katni.
Officials said they had arrived in Katni from Hyderabad on a private bus, and that they were heading home to celebrate Diwali.
Sources said some passersby informed the police about the accident.
