10 Things I Love on Sundays

Happy Easter! I have family in town and we are celebrating together. It’s so special to me to be able to have everyone in my house! We have a family tradition that my grandmother started and I have continued because it has always been something I love.

Every Easter we have a “hunt” which is a scavenger hunt for gifts around the house. Each gift had another puzzle on it, and it turned out to be a big race!

I still use her original clues every year to create a new version for the next generation. That might be my favorite family tradition.

1. We just went on our first trip with my son (2 years old) and traveling with a toddler feels more daunting than it really is. But there are a few things that have helped.

This cart Great! It folds up very small and fits in your seat or above your seat on the plane. There was another mom at the airport who had it too, and she showed me how she added straps to it to turn it into a backpack. Genius. A few friends of my mom and I share travel tools like this and it helps!

2. Recently I ordered some grapes Olipop, and it’s my favorite flavor. It reminds me of a Crush soda. Code “abeautifulmes” will get you 20% off your order!

3. I bought this pair from bottom of swimsuit for our trip — they have POCKETS! Always excited about bags being added to clothes, haha.

4. I also got this hiding. I’ve found a few pricier versions, but this is great and easy to toss (or throw in) the stroller.

5. This fridge bag organizer can keep all of my son’s yogurt and applesauce next to the fridge! It saves us a lot of space.

6. I’ve added copper frames with vintage and family photos to my office walls — it’s really fun to collect them! I thought I’d add a few more shots so it spans the entire wall. I got all my frames from thrift stores, except for some of the other ornate frames on eBay.

7. We are planning my son’s second birthday party and I have the theme “Two the Farm!”. I think I will try one barn mosaic bubble. Wish me luck!

8. In Scottsdale, We Came McCormick Train Park and it’s so much fun! My son had an explosion while on the train and didn’t want to leave.

I started watching JoCo Park’s mom’s Instagram account– if you’re in the KC area or have a similar account where you live, it helps to find out the best parks for weekend fun!

9. Are you a “Team Peeps” or wonder what to do with some of the items that popped up in your Easter basket? I did s’mores . cotton candy with the taste of Peep, and I can be Team Peeps now. Reward: Easter Candy may be cleared starting today so you can stock up!

10. Earlier this month, I found chair which both Elsie and Laura have at their home on Marketplace with a really good deal and are very pleased. So excited that it seems I didn’t measure it correctly.

I spent 20-25 minutes in the Target parking lot trying to get it in my SUV. It’s worth it? It’s home now and in its place, I can say I 100% love it. Haha. But while I shoved it in the back of the car… no comment.

Hoppy Easter! xoxo, Claire
