Last time, we looked at the best premium JRPGs on mobile. As promised, I’m back with another list of great JRPGs to play on your mobile device, this time covering the free-to-play side of things. The rule is the same: each brand has only one item on the list, lest The Last Illusion dominate all thirty positions on this list of ten games or something. I will also be a little loose with that “J” in JRPG.Perhaps it’s best to consider these as JRPG style games?JRPG-To be? Please note that these are simply my favorites, so if you have any that you feel should be on this list, feel free to comment below and help others find them. Finally, the list is in no particular order. With all that said, let’s get on with it!
The Genshin effectFree of charge
Well, I’m starting the list with The Genshin effect. Let that set the pace for this small endeavor. Is it Japanese? Are not. Is this a traditional JRPG in style or form? Not really. But if you like JRPGs and don’t mind all the stuff that comes with the free-to-play model, it’s hard to imagine that you won’t find it. The Genshin effect become suffocatingly attractive. It’s ridiculous to believe that this is something you can play for free these days on your phone or tablet. Go out and explore that big world. Come back later and check out the rest of the list.
Fate/Grand Order (English)Free of charge
Fate/Great Order certainly satisfies the story side of the equation. You get some great visual novel-style story scenes along with the strategic turn-based combat and team-building that are hallmarks of the mobile free-to-play RPG formula. It’s really great art and fun character interactions that drive this, but the gameplay isn’t too bad either. Few would expect this to be one of the highest grossing mobile games of all time.

Time to go into the weeds a bit. Readers familiar with our updated articles will know I called another paradise garden one of my favorite free RPGs ever and I support it. It has a great story written by Masato Kato, famous for writing stories about activate time And Cross time. And you wouldn’t know it? This game has some serious time vibe with it, to the point where it even has a crossover with Cross time. I found this game to be great for people who don’t usually play free games, so if that’s you, give this game a try.
FINAL VIRTUAL EXVIUSFree of charge
There are a lot of free games The Last Illusion games to choose from, but I’ll give it a spot on this list Brave Exvius. It offers a beautifully condensed JRPG, with a bit of exploration, plenty of battles, and an all-star cast of characters represented by some great sprite work. It’s easy to jump in and enjoy, with so many The Last Illusion The fan service is hard to resist if you have any affection for the series.
DRAGON Quest TACTFree of charge
Sure, I’ll make a spot on the list for Dragon quest. How can I not? The old statesman and all that rot. Dragon Quest Strategy doesn’t really require you to have any dexterity, but perhaps some tactical prowess could be a good fit. If you remember Hunting for dragon monsters As the game is released on platforms like the Game Boy or Nintendo DS, you’ll likely find enough familiar elements in this game to feel at home. Collect your favorite monsters, train them and send them into battle.
AFK arenaFree of charge
This game is advertised as the best RPG for the busy you, it’s a cute bit of clumsy English. But you know, that’s not the most outrageous statement. AFK Arena has a lot going for it, with consistent updates on new heroes, new adventures, etc. In my opinion, this one is better to enjoy casually, but if you want to get serious about a free-to-play JRPG, it will happily accommodate you on those terms and provide as much as you want.

Again playing fast and loose, but I can’t fix it that way. Nintendo’s efforts to find success on mobile devices have either succeeded or failed, but the success of fire icon hero certainly cannot be denied. Large-scale (well, mostly small-scale) tactical battles are interspersed with some good storylines, with characters gradually evolving with you as you complete each adventure. The game can attract a sizable cast Fire Emblem characters the series has accumulated over the years to keep things fresh with regular new events and an ever-expanding roster.

Perhaps you’re paying attention to a topic: good characters, good story, fun battles that equate to a compelling free-to-play RPG. epic seven There may not be much talk around these parts, but this is an incredibly popular game and has been well received by players over the years. It’s another game that’s best enjoyed in a more casual way, as by the time you get to the end of the game, staying competitive gets expensive in a hurry. However, it was a bad ride while it lasted.
3rd Honkai EffectFree of charge
Is this cheating? Well, I don’t really care at this point. 3rd Honkai Effect formerly the big game of miHoYo The Genshin effect has arrived, and while it leans a bit more into the action aspects there’s definitely a lot of RPG here. Well, there’s a bit of everything here, but if you like The Genshin effect You will probably love what this has to offer. At the same time, it’s different enough to play along with that game quite nicely.
Pokémon Masters EXFree of charge
This whole thing has gone completely off the rails now, but the ride is coming to an end so just hang on to the safety bar and we’ll be off in no time. Master Pokemon EX is a dream crossover of sorts for fans of Pokemon series. Gather a team of all-star coaches, build your squad Pokemon, and embark on new stories with classic characters. You don’t have to catch them all the time, as long as you have the right ones with you.
And there you go! That’s a little different from the definition in many places, but here are ten really fun RPGs for you to learn without spending any money.
