$1.35bn Mega Millions jackpot won by single lottery ticketholder in US | US News

A single ticket holder has won an estimated $1.35 billion (£1.1 billion) in the US Mega Millions lottery.
After three months of drawing without a winner, the final winning numbers were announced on Friday.
They are: 30, 43, 45, 46, 61 and Mega Ball 14 gold.
Lottery organizers say the jackpot was won in the state of Maine and is the fourth-largest in US history.
The grand prize of $1.35 billion goes to the winner receiving an annuity with annual payments for 29 years.
Winners almost always choose the cash option – which for Friday night’s drawing was estimated at $724.6m (£593.4m).
The next big prize will be worth $20 million (£16.3 million) and the cash option will be $10.7 million (£8.7 million), indicating a prize winner already exists. prize money estimated at $1.35 billion.
