Playtonic Games has officially revealed the confirmed platforms for its upcoming remaster. Yooka-Layleeis known as Yooka-Replaylee.

Oddly, the Switch isn’t mentioned by name, with Playtonic instead confirming a release on ‘Nintendo Platforms’. Now, this could mean a few things: it’s a general way to refer to the Switch line of systems, or it refers to new hardware coming out from Nintendo.

The latter is certainly possible as we suspect that Yooka-Replaylee will run without any major sacrifices on the regular Switch, although considering the wording of the announcement, we’re still Fully looking forward to the current generation launch.

There’s no word yet on a release date for the game, but if you want to give it a try, there will be a playable demo of the game at this year’s MCM x EGX event in London on December 12. October 25-27, 2024.
