What are you playing this weekend? (July 27)

It’s been a pretty quiet few days in the world of Nintendo, but as we all gear up for another weekend of gaming, let’s take a look at some of the highlights of the week.

First, there is a New Lego Nintendo Set coming soon! Hooray! This one looks amazing and is basically a replica of the Mario & Yoshi figures from Super Mario World. It’s gorgeous, but like all Legos, it’s pretty pricey. Speaking of Legos, Eiji Aonuma also commented about the upcoming Lego Deku tree from The Legend of Zelda.

Elsewhere, there is New Splatoon 3 amiibo on the go, so it’s great if you still like plastic figurines, while Genius Sonority has released The New Denpa Men free on the Switch eShop (although there are some unstable translation problem to start).

Finally, we asked the age-old question: Are you ready to make the switch from Switch?

While you’re pondering, check out what we’ll be playing over the next few days…

The announcement was revealed earlier this week from blasphemy The developers pushed me into the eShop where I found that next partwhich i have been wanting to play for a long time, is currently 50% off. There are a lot of other things on my list, but may just put it at the top.

The only thing that maybe The reason I’m stopping it is because I don’t have internet at home right now and need to reserve my mobile data for work — in which case I’ll do what I’ve been doing every weekend morning throughout July: a single stream through SEGA AGES Out Run Followed by one Virtua Racing pursuer

I have played quite a lot Castle recently; mostly original NES games, but I’ve also experimented a bit Circle of the Moon And Aria of Sorrow. I liked those early games though. Simon’s Mission; the gameplay is simple yet engaging, and the music is absolutely amazing.

Otherwise, again, I’m not playing much at the moment. I think this is a quiet time for all of us, and I don’t know about you, but I’m eagerly awaiting some news on new hardware.

This weekend, I will play [REDACTED] And [REDACTED]and had a great time with at least one of them. But they are for review, so I can’t say much more.

I also dipped my toes into a Steam game called Planet Makerplays a very similar role Subnautica-meet-Astronaut. It’s very… um… I don’t know? It’s all about gathering resources, and building things from them, and then gathering more, but that’s ALL I’m doing. There’s a terraforming aspect to it, so I think it’ll get more interesting as I form more terrain. Let’s see!

My partner just jumped back The Elden Ringafter one of our friends came over (who knew EVERYTHING about the game) and convinced him to keep trying, showed him new areas to go to, and basically helped him get out of a rut. so i watched a lot of that too. he just unlocked a costume made of human skin. it was horrible!

Good Things on the eShop This Week: Portuguese Grows Fear of strangers finally released, after following the entire development cycle of this first-person metroidvania game with a bit of an 8-bit aesthetic, it’s been a fun ride. And right in the countryside, Spanish has grown Super Woden GP II was also released, finally bringing the sequel to this hardcore isometric racer to Nintendo hardware. Skip SNK vs Capcom SVC Chaos because I’d love to get a physical version later. On the non-Nintendo side, it’s all about finishing 2015 Mad Max on PC.

Game of the week is unsurprisingly still Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown – Deluxe Edition. I am currently hunting down all the ace pilots for pictures of their planes but I have to do a bit of my own as I need to work on the Summer Live DJ show which I hope to release in the next few weeks. The show must go on!

Switch is taking a backseat this weekend as I plan on playing it all on 3DS. I’ve been plugging away The Connection Between Worlds for a while, save another Sage and then move on to something else for a while. But it’s time to focus and see things through to the end (again).

If I tried to polish it, I would have picked up Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadow of Valentia months ago and still haven’t spent enough time on it. Maybe I’ll finally get around to training a team I can be proud of, or maybe I’ll spend too much time tinkering through those dungeon crawls and forget to plan my tactics. It’s definitely the latter, right?

That’s what we have planned for the weekend, but what about you? You can let us know what games you’ll be playing in the poll below and then comment to share what’s on your list.
