Sunrise and Khara have shared know more details about Mobile Suit GQuuuuuX. The studios have revealed the key visual for the upcoming movie in theaters GQuuuuuX -Start-. The illustration introduces the eponymous mobile suit with three main characters: Amate “Machu” Yuzuriha, Nyaan and Shuji Ito.
In addition, Sunrise also announced that GQuuuuuuX -Start- will be the first time Gundam the film is available through IMAX. Previous films in the megaseries—including the 2024 entry GUNDAM SEED Freedom—haven’t used a larger screen platform yet. It is not yet known if there will be an upcoming prequel GUNDAM SEED Freedom Zero will also support IMAX or not.

Sunrise has also released a new trailer for GQuuuuuX -Start-. However, it mainly contains the same scenes as in initial disclosure in early December 2024. The only new reveal in this trailer is the MoviTicke Card featuring a monochrome image of the titular mobile suit GQuuuuuuX, which is now available to purchase in Japan for 1,500 yen (~9,000 yen). 75 USD).
Mobile Suit GQuuuuuuX -Get Started- will premiere in theaters across Japan on January 17, 2025. Sunrise will then broadcast the main show on Japanese TV channels and global streaming platforms.
