It’s spacious with a bottom compartment to hold a pair of shoes. Don’t need separate compartments? Simply unzip the bottom of the main compartment to create a larger space. Catalina Supreme is made from durable recycled material that retains its shape even when hollow. However, it’s hard to justify the hefty price tag.
Bellroy Tokyo Tote for $129: This is the runner-up in our top pick from Moment. It has a similar bag style, with a soft sleeve to hold a 13-inch laptop, two 5-inch pockets to hold a phone, wallet, cables or small notebook, and larger “pop” pockets at the extended ends to hold water bottles, umbrellas, or shoes. It is made of recycled plastic bottlesand its straps have a nice rubber grip to keep it on your shoulders.
Lux and Nyx Origami bag for $288: The Origami Tote is beautiful, with a design that can transition from work and the gym to dinner or the airport. There’s a padded laptop compartment, two interior pockets that can hold a small umbrella or even a flat shoe, a small zip pocket hidden inside the outer V-shaped sleeve for a phone, and a The luggage compartment is on the other side. There are two versions, one made from neoprene and satin, but neither is available biodegradable.

Dagne Dover Petra convertible handbag for $285: Petra is made from recycled plastic bottles and polyester. It is durable and huge—it fits a 16-inch laptop and is almost 17 inches tall. Maybe it’s too big for an everyday bag. But the hardware is heavy metal and the laptop compartment is padded. For parents, this is also a decent diaper bag.
